EWSHL Set To Conclude Season One In Hudson

EWSHL Set To Conclude Season One In Hudson
August 6, 2020

The EWSHL’s inaugural season will come to a close tonight in Hudson, New Hampshire. Team Blue (4-2-0) looks to finish the summer with four straight victories over Team Red (2-3-1). Team Blue has already clinched the season’s best record.

There are a few things up for grabs tonight. Emily Field (4 g, 2 a), Paige Voight (3 g, 3 a) and Gillis Frechette (3 g, 3 a) are all tied for the league’s scoring title with six points each. Frechette, however, will not be in the lineup tonight. Will Field or Voight take home to the scoring title? Or, will Alex Carpenter (4 g, 1 a) make up the slim one-point gap and take home the title?

Last week, Team Blue got goals from Megan Keller and Voight to jump out to a 2-0 lead. Michaela Boyle scored for Team Red, but Sammy Davis’ first of the summer put the game away. Team Blue took a 3-1 decision, with Aerin Frankel collecting her first victory in her summer debut.

Lineup News and Notes:

A number of changes will take place on both sides tonight. Both Team Red and Team Blue will play with seven forwards, while Team Red dresses four defenders. Team Blue will have five defenders tonight, while each side has two goaltenders.
