GAMEDAY! EWSHL Week 5 Drops The Puck At 6:30 PM!
July 23, 2020

Team Blue got back in the win column last Thursday night thanks to a late goal from Paige Voight. Due to prior commitments, Team Blue will have to try to make it two straight without Voight and NWHL first overall pick Sammy Davis. It’ll be Davis’ second consecutive game out of the lineup for Team Blue. Both are expected to return for Week 6 action.

Alex Carpenter opened the scoring with her league-leading fourth of the summer just 4:12 into last week’s contest. Maureen Murphy scored her first in her first game at 9:06 for Team Blue, but Finley Frechette had Team Red up 2-1 at the half. For Frechette, it was her first goal of the summer in just her second game.

Frechette added her second of the night at 13:16 of the second half, but it was the only Team Red goal against veteran Brittany Ott. Team Blue saw Jacquie Greco, Hayley Scamurra and Voight light the lamp to propel them to a 4-3 victory. It was their first regulation victory of the summer, and pushed their record to 2-2-0.
